Your payroll file is never uploaded

When you choose a payroll file, it is read and processed by code running in your browser tab. The file, the workers' names, Social Security numbers, hours and pay are not sent to us or to anyone else. Once the page has loaded you can switch off your internet connection and the tool still works, which is a simple way to confirm this yourself.

What your browser remembers

To save you typing next week, your browser keeps the report header (company, project and wage determination details), your column matching and any wage rates you pasted. This is stored in your browser's local storage on your computer only. Clearing your browser data removes it.

What we see

• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These contain no payroll data.
• We don't use advertising cookies or sell any information.
• If you buy a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email address and what you bought, not your card details.
• If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply.
